Beacon Home

Beacon Home is a seven bed residential care facility accepting adolescent females aged 12-17. Our smaller community on the shores of the St. Lawrence River has the advantage of small town closeness and sense of community combined with ease of access to medium and large urban centres and facilities. Located in Prescott, Ontario we are halfway between Toronto and Montreal and 45 minutes from Ottawa and Kingston. Our central location allows us to easily facilitate parent-child access, vary recreational activities and utilize specialized services from many different areas.
We deal with abuse, addictions, child protection, self-harm, fetal alcohol syndrome, behaviour and mood disorders" suicidal ideation and behaviour, learning disabilities.

ERS is a family centered therapeutic Foster Care Organization that serves a diverse population, caring for children and youth with mild to moderate needs. What we offer…………

Therapeutic environment provided in a family based setting, by trained therapeutic foster parents under the supervision of ERS

A full time Area Supervisor or Case Manager for each child

Up to 45 hours of one on one support per child per month, provided by a qualified Child and Youth Worker

One therapy session per month provided by a certified mental health/counselor/therapist
-
Additional therapy sessions are available as required and are provided on a fee for service basis, facilitated through ERS

48 hours of respite per month for each ERS foster family

Access to 24/7 support services from ERS staff

An annual recreation fund of $250.00 per year

Supports for family/child access visits are available on a case by case basis as requested and approved by ERS and the placing agency

All children are welcome to attend ERS special events, including summer BBQ’s and Christmas events

ERS provides opportunities for selected children/youth to take part in special trips and events

Youth Connections Inc. - Fostering Family Relations
Fostering Family Relations is a foster agency that operates in concert with Youth Connections. Youth Connections is a group home operation that offers care to boys ages 10 to 18 within structured units. These boys are placed specifically to address issues pertaining to sexual behavioural challenges.
Fostering Family Relations offers programming for boys and girls ages 5 to 19 who are identified as requiring structure, nurture and counsel within family units. Our homes are supported by well trained staff members and we offer a complement of therapists with expertise in the following areas: trauma, anger management, Autism Spectrum, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and developmental delays.
